Three Moms Fly to France on a Whim
Julie recently completed CANNES WITHOUT A PLAN, a comedy/documentary she directed with no crew and only a handheld camera. Edited by the esteemed filmmaker Jeff Kanew. the unscripted romp follows three moms (including Julie) on an impromptu trip to France, revealing that regardless of age, it’s never too late to ‘take the trip’!! Julie directed and co-wrote the Old-Time/Bluegrass music documentary FIDDLIN’ in 2019. The Stuff of Legends
Julie, with her writing partner, Jill Sorensen, recently revamped HOLLY WOOD (originally titled WeMen), a TV pilot script about a “matriarchy run amok.” Julie and Jill have won four script competitions and couldn’t be more excited about their project. They also have several other scripts in the works.

Julie is also working on an untitled documentary about the Grateful Dead and the kindness displayed in its community of fans known as Deadheads.
